Moonlight Applet
Enter the latitude (decimal
degrees, northern positive, southern negative) and
press "return", enter the longitude (decimal degrees, eastern positive, western negative) and press "return", to compute local data (altitude, azimuth, local time of rise and set). Press the button "Table" to get the moonlight window for the time (UT) and year selected. The brightness of the daily squares ist proportional to the illuminated fraction of the Moon, and independent of the location of the observer. To indicate the visibility of the Moon (above or below horizon) at the location and at the time selected check the box "Visibility": ![]() ![]() visible
