The gnomon (length L) of this sundial is horizontal and pointing to the south. The x-coordinate is measured from the origin O to the right along the upper circle, and y along the lateral surface of the cone.

The (horizontal) declination lines are drawn for 0 (black), +/- 4,
+/- 8, +/- 12, +/- 16, +/- 20 (gray), and +/- 23.44 (red/blue).
